Job Description

As an Ultrasound Technologist at Franciscan Health, you’ll be part of a team of professionals dedicated to providing exceptional care to our patients and their families. In this role, you’ll be responsible for performing ultrasound exams and related procedures using specialized equipment to produce diagnostic images of various parts of the body. We’re looking for someone who is highly organized and detail-oriented, with a passion for helping others and a commitment to providing quality patient care. The ideal candidate will have an Associate’s degree or higher in Diagnostic Medical Sonography, certification from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) in Abdomen and OB/GYN, and at least one year of experience in ultrasound technology.

Responsibilities:

  1. Perform ultrasound exams and procedures to produce diagnostic images of various parts of the body.
  2. Utilize specialized ultrasound equipment to effectively and accurately capture patient images.
  3. Follow patient safety protocols and adhere to quality control standards.
  4. Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care.
  5. Maintain timely and accurate records of patient imaging results.
  6. Ensure that all imaging equipment is properly maintained and calibrated.
  7. Assist physicians in performing ultrasound-guided procedures.
  8. Maintain a professional and courteous attitude when interacting with patients, families, and colleagues.
  9. Stay current on new technologies and advancements in the field.
  10. Comply with all relevant healthcare regulations and standards.

Job Qualifications
  • Knowledge Of Anatomy And Physiology

  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (Rdms) Certification

  • Current Bls Certification

  • Graduate Of An Accredited Ultrasound Training Program

  • Experience Performing Ultrasound Procedures In An Acute Care Setting
