- Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations on patients using advanced technology and equipment.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures by explaining procedures, answering questions, and addressing concerns.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including images, test results and other pertinent information.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to evaluate images and provide accurate diagnoses.
- Stay current on industry advancements and best practices in ultrasound technology, and incorporate them into daily practice.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare team members to provide exceptional care and address any issues or concerns.
- Maintain and calibrate equipment to ensure accurate and reliable imaging results.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Comply with all HIPAA and patient confidentiality guidelines.
- Demonstrate a commitment to quality improvement and participate in initiatives to enhance patient care and department processes.
- Foster a positive and professional work environment by actively promoting teamwork, respect, and open communication.
- Follow all hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations, to ensure compliance.
- Assist in maintaining inventory and ordering necessary supplies for the ultrasound department.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and their families, addressing any concerns or questions in a timely and compassionate manner.
Certification From The American Registry For Diagnostic Medical Sonography (Ardms).
Bachelor's Degree In Diagnostic Medical Sonography Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working As An Ultrasound Technologist.
Proficiency In A Variety Of Ultrasound Techniques, Including Abdominal, Obstetric, And Vascular.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively With Patients And Healthcare Team Members.
