  1. Develop, implement, and evaluate the trauma program at Franciscan Health.
  2. Ensure that all trauma patients receive the highest quality of care and treatment.
  3. Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to establish and maintain best practices for trauma care.
  4. Monitor and analyze data to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
  5. Develop and maintain relationships with community partners and stakeholders to enhance the trauma program.
  6. Oversee the budget for the trauma program and make strategic decisions to ensure its success.
  7. Train and educate staff on trauma care protocols and best practices.
  8. Stay up-to-date on advancements and changes in trauma care to continuously improve the program.
  9. Handle any issues or concerns regarding the trauma program and work towards resolution.
  10. Develop and maintain policies and procedures for the trauma program in accordance with regulatory standards.
  11. Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation requirements for trauma care.
  12. Participate in committees and meetings to represent the trauma program and advocate for its needs.
  13. Serve as a resource and mentor for staff involved in trauma care.
  14. Prepare and present reports on the performance and progress of the trauma program to leadership.
  15. Maintain open communication with all stakeholders, including patients, families, and staff, to ensure their needs are met.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing Or Related Field: A Trauma Program Manager At Franciscan Health Should Possess A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Nursing Or A Related Healthcare Field. This Provides A Strong Foundation In Clinical Knowledge And Experience That Is Necessary For Overseeing A Trauma Program.

  • Certified Emergency Nurse (Cen) Certification: A Cen Certification Is Highly Desirable For A Trauma Program Manager At Franciscan Health. This Certification Demonstrates Expertise In Emergency Nursing And A Commitment To Ongoing Education And Professional Development.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Trauma Care: To Effectively Manage A Trauma Program, The Candidate Should Have A Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Trauma Care, Preferably In A Leadership Role. This Ensures They Have A Thorough Understanding Of The Complexities And Challenges Of Trauma Care.

  • Knowledge Of Trauma Center Accreditation Standards: Franciscan Health Is A Designated Level I Trauma Center, And The Trauma Program Manager Must Have A Deep Understanding Of The Accreditation Standards Set By Organizations Such As The American College Of Surgeons. This Includes Knowledge Of Trauma Care Processes, Quality Improvement, And Patient Safety.

  • Strong Leadership And Communication Skills: As A Manager, The Candidate Should Possess Strong Leadership Skills To Effectively Guide And Motivate The Trauma Team. They Should Also Have Excellent Communication Skills To Collaborate With Other Departments And Communicate Effectively With Patients And Their Families.
