- Safely and efficiently transport patients, equipment, and supplies throughout the hospital.
- Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure timely and accurate transport services.
- Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as safety protocols, while transporting patients.
- Maintain a positive and professional demeanor while interacting with patients, families, and staff.
- Monitor and report any changes in patient condition or equipment malfunction during transport.
- Keep track of all equipment and supplies being transported to ensure accuracy and availability.
- Assist in the transfer of patients to and from various departments within the hospital.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including transportation vehicles and equipment.
- Handle any patient or family concerns or questions in a compassionate and respectful manner.
- Continuously strive to improve and enhance the patient experience through exceptional transport services.
Valid Driver's License And Clean Driving Record: A Transporter At Franciscan Health Must Have A Valid Driver's License And A Clean Driving Record To Operate Hospital Vehicles And Transport Patients Safely.
High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Equivalent Is Typically Required For A Transporter Position At Franciscan Health. This Ensures Basic Education And Communication Skills Necessary For The Job.
Knowledge Of Medical Terminology: A Strong Understanding Of Medical Terminology Is Important For Transporters At Franciscan Health. This Allows Them To Communicate Effectively With Medical Staff And Understand Patient Needs.
