
Polysomnography Technologist
Franciscan Health is looking for a highly skilled Polysomnography Technologist to join our team and help support our patient care. The ideal candidate is a compassionate and motivated individual with a positive attitude who has a commitment to providing superior care. We are looking for someone with an Associate’s degree in Polysomnography or related field and experience in a hospital, clinic, or clinical setting. The Polysomnography Technologist will be responsible for providing comprehensive sleep-related patient care including performing diagnostic tests and interpreting results. The successful candidate will also possess excellent patient communication skills and a strong sense of teamwork.
Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic tests to identify and diagnose sleep-related disorders in patients.
- Interpret diagnostic test results and provide comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain accurate patient records and document all test results.
- Educate patients on their sleep disorder diagnosis and treatment options.
- Develop treatment plans for sleep-related disorders in collaboration with other healthcare professionals.
- Monitor patients during sleep studies and adjust settings as needed.
- Maintain and operate sleep equipment in accordance with safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare staff members.
- Stay up-to-date on new technology and treatments related to sleep disorders.
- Participate in research and clinical trials related to sleep disorders.
