Polysomnography Technologist

Franciscan Health is looking for a highly skilled Polysomnography Technologist to join our team and help support our patient care. The ideal candidate is a compassionate and motivated individual with a positive attitude who has a commitment to providing superior care. We are looking for someone with an Associate’s degree in Polysomnography or related field and experience in a hospital, clinic, or clinical setting. The Polysomnography Technologist will be responsible for providing comprehensive sleep-related patient care including performing diagnostic tests and interpreting results. The successful candidate will also possess excellent patient communication skills and a strong sense of teamwork.

Responsibilities:

1. Perform diagnostic tests to identify and diagnose sleep-related disorders in patients.
2. Interpret diagnostic test results and provide comprehensive patient care.
3. Maintain accurate patient records and document all test results.
4. Educate patients on their sleep disorder diagnosis and treatment options.
5. Develop treatment plans for sleep-related disorders in collaboration with other healthcare professionals.
6. Monitor patients during sleep studies and adjust settings as needed.
7. Maintain and operate sleep equipment in accordance with safety protocols.
8. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare staff members.
9. Stay up-to-date on new technology and treatments related to sleep disorders.
10. Participate in research and clinical trials related to sleep disorders.
