  1. Diagnose and treat patients with various types of cancer and blood disorders.
  2. Conduct thorough assessments and evaluate patient's medical history to determine the best course of treatment.
  3. Develop and implement treatment plans for patients, taking into consideration their unique needs and preferences.
  4. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of treatments and make necessary adjustments as needed.
  5. Educate patients and their families about their condition, treatment options, and potential side effects.
  6. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care for patients.
  7. Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements and developments in the field of Oncology Hematology.
  8. Maintain accurate and thorough medical records for all patients.
  9. Adhere to all ethical and legal standards in patient care.
  10. Act as a resource and mentor for other healthcare professionals on the team.
  11. Participate in research studies and clinical trials to advance the field of Oncology Hematology.

  13. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures and maintain a safe and clean work environment.

Job Qualifications
  • Board Certification: Candidates Should Be Board Certified In Both Oncology And Hematology By The American Board Of Internal Medicine (Abim) Or The American Board Of Medical Specialties (Abms).

  • Medical Degree: A Doctor Of Medicine (Md) Or Doctor Of Osteopathic Medicine (Do) Degree From An Accredited Medical School Is Required For This Position.

  • Residency And Fellowship Training: Candidates Should Have Completed An Accredited Residency Program In Internal Medicine And A Fellowship In Oncology And/Or Hematology.

  • State Licensure: A Current, Unrestricted License To Practice Medicine In The State Of Indiana Is Required. Candidates Must Also Be Eligible For Medical Licensure In Other States Where Franciscan Health Operates.

  • Experience: Ideal Candidates Should Have A Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Oncology And Hematology, With A Strong Focus On Patient Care And Evidence-Based Practice. Experience In Clinical Research And Teaching Is Also Preferred.
