
Physician Assistant - Orthopedic Sports Medicine
Franciscan Health is looking for an experienced and compassionate Physician Assistant - Orthopedic Sports Medicine to join our Orthopedic team. Our ideal candidate will bring a specialized skillset and a strong commitment to providing high quality patient care. In this role, you will collaborate with our Orthopedic team in providing comprehensive orthopedic care and sports medicine to our patients.The successful candidate will have a Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies, a current state licensure, and board certification as a Physician Assistant from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). In addition, you must be knowledgeable in orthopedic and sports medicine procedures and assessments, and have clinical experience working in an orthopedic setting. The ideal candidate will be an independent thinker, have excellent clinical, interpersonal, and communication skills, and have the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.If you have the qualifications and expertise we seek, and are eager to provide quality care to our patients in a supportive and collaborative setting, we'd love to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Orthopedic team to provide comprehensive orthopedic care and sports medicine to patients.
- Perform orthopedic and sports medicine procedures and assessments.
- Utilize independent thinking and clinical judgement to assess patient needs.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.
- Work effectively and efficiently to meet patient needs in a fast-paced environment.
- Maintain current state licensure and board certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation of all patient care activities.
- Adhere to Franciscan Health’s standards of practice and policies.
- Participate in continuing education opportunities to stay current with advancements in orthopedic and sports medicine.
Bachelor's Degree In Physician Assistant Studies
Current Licensing As A Physician Assistant In Indiana
Prior Experience Working In Orthopedic Sports Medicine
Proficiency With Electronic Medical Records (Emr) Systems
Ability To Perform Physical Examinations
Ability To Order And Interpret Diagnostic Tests
