Perioperative Scheduler

We are looking for an experienced, motivated Perioperative Scheduler to join our team at Franciscan Health. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the operating room environment and have the ability to effectively coordinate patient cases with surgery teams. In this role, you will be responsible for scheduling surgical cases, tracking and managing patient data, and assisting with any special requests from the surgical team.The successful candidate should have excellent organizational and communication skills, as well as a strong customer service background. A minimum of two years of experience in a surgical scheduling role is preferred, but not required. We are looking for someone who is passionate about the health care field and is eager to contribute to our team.

Responsibilities:

1. Schedule surgical cases in an accurate and timely manner.
2. Track and manage patient data and records.
3. Assist surgical teams with special requests.
4. Provide excellent customer service to patients and families.
5. Maintain and update patient information in a secure manner.
6. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare staff to coordinate surgery schedules.
7. Monitor and adjust patient scheduling as needed.
8. Ensure all necessary equipment is available for surgery.
9. Answer patient inquiries regarding scheduling and other related matters.
10. Resolve any patient scheduling conflicts in a timely manner.
