1. Safely and efficiently transport patients to and from various areas of the hospital, including patient rooms, diagnostic areas, and treatment rooms.
2. Maintain a high level of professionalism and compassion while interacting with patients and their families.
3. Follow all safety protocols and procedures, including proper use of equipment and infection control measures.
4. Monitor and report any changes in patient condition or needs during transport.
5. Communicate effectively with nursing staff and other healthcare team members to ensure timely and accurate transport of patients.
6. Maintain cleanliness and organization of transport equipment and work area.
7. Assist in the transfer and movement of patients to and from beds, wheelchairs, and stretchers.
8. Provide assistance to patients with mobility limitations, including pushing wheelchairs and providing support during transfers.
9. Handle patient belongings and equipment with care to prevent damage or loss.
10. Ensure patient privacy and confidentiality is maintained at all times.
11. Participate in training and education programs to maintain and improve skills and knowledge.
12. Collaborate with other team members to identify and implement process improvements to enhance patient transport services.
13. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, including but not limited to HIPAA regulations and patient rights.
14. Maintain a positive and professional attitude towards patients, coworkers, and visitors at all times.
15. Participate in departmental meetings and provide feedback and suggestions for improvement.
