As an OR Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our operating rooms.   1. Assisting in the preparation of surgical equipment and supplies for procedures.
  2. Setting up the operating room according to established protocols and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly.
  3. Anticipating the needs of the surgical team and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
  4. Assisting in the positioning and draping of patients for surgery.
  5. Maintaining a sterile and safe environment in the operating room.
  6. Assisting in the transfer of patients to and from the operating room.
  7. Preparing and monitoring surgical instruments and equipment for proper sterilization.
  8. Troubleshooting any equipment or supply issues that may arise during surgery.
  9. Collaborating with the surgical team to ensure the timely and efficient completion of procedures.
  10. Maintaining accurate and detailed records of surgical equipment and supplies used.
  11. Adhering to all facility policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
  12. Communicating effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare team members.
  13. Participating in ongoing training and education to maintain and improve skills and knowledge.
  14. Maintaining a professional demeanor and providing compassionate care to patients and their families.
  15. Assisting in the turnover and cleaning of the operating room between procedures.

Job Qualifications
  • Certified Surgical Technologist (Cst) Credential From The National Board Of Surgical Technology And Surgical Assisting (Nbstsa)

  • At Least 2 Years Of Experience Working As An Or Technician In A Hospital Setting

  • Strong Knowledge And Understanding Of Or Procedures And Equipment, Including Sterilization Techniques And Aseptic Practices

  • Ability To Anticipate The Needs Of Surgeons And Other Surgical Team Members During Procedures

  • Excellent Communication And Teamwork Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively Under Pressure And In A Fast-Paced Environment.
