Job Description

The Mobility Technician PRN at Franciscan Health provides essential support to the healthcare team and plays an important role in ensuring the highest quality of patient care. Responsibilities of a Mobility Technician PRN at Franciscan Health:

• Assess patient mobility needs and provide safe assistance to patients as required • Monitor and ensure the safe and timely transportation of patients from one area of the hospital to another • Assist patients in transferring from one medical device to another • Assist nursing staff with patient care activities as needed • Provide customer service to visitors and patients in accordance with the hospital’s standards • Maintain a clean and orderly environment in the transport area • Ensure all safety, mobility, and infection control protocols are followed • Keep accurate documentation of all patient transport activities • Provide direction and guidance to other personnel as needed • Serve as a resource for staff questions and concerns regarding mobility and safety
