  1. Assist physicians with patient exams and procedures, including taking vital signs, recording patient medical history, and preparing exam rooms.
  2. Provide compassionate and friendly patient care, ensuring their comfort and well-being throughout their visit.
  3. Assist with patient scheduling, appointment reminders, and patient follow-up as needed.
  4. Perform administrative tasks such as maintaining patient records, insurance verification, and managing phone calls and messages.
  5. Adhere to all HIPAA and patient confidentiality guidelines.
  6. Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
  7. Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote a safe and healthy atmosphere for patients and staff.
  8. Administer medications and treatments as directed by the physician.
  9. Conduct routine lab tests and specimen collections as needed.
  10. Maintain and order medical supplies and equipment to ensure availability for patient care.
  11. Stay up-to-date with industry changes, best practices, and regulations related to medical assisting.
  12. Provide support and assistance to physicians and other healthcare providers as needed.
  13. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure a positive patient experience.
  14. Participate in training and educational opportunities to continually improve skills and knowledge.
  15. Demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and respect in all interactions with patients, families, and colleagues.

  • Completion Of An Accredited Medical Assistant Program: A Degree Or Certification From An Accredited Medical Assistant Program Is A Requirement For This Position. This Ensures That The Candidate Has The Necessary Knowledge And Skills To Perform The Job Duties Effectively.

  • Knowledge Of Medical Terminology: A Strong Understanding Of Medical Terminology Is Crucial For A Medical Assistant In A Physician Practice. This Includes Knowledge Of Common Medical Conditions, Procedures, And Medications.

  • Proficiency In Electronic Health Records (Ehr): Most Physician Practices Now Use Electronic Health Records To Manage Patient Information. Therefore, Proficiency In Ehr Systems Is An Essential Qualification For A Medical Assistant In This Setting.
