  1. Perform ultrasound examinations on pregnant women using specialized equipment and techniques.
  2. Obtain accurate and high-quality images of the fetus, placenta, and surrounding structures.
  3. Evaluate and measure fetal growth and development, as well as identify any abnormalities or potential complications.
  4. Communicate findings to the physician and collaborate with the healthcare team to determine appropriate treatment plans.
  5. Maintain accurate and detailed records of all ultrasounds performed.
  6. Adhere to patient safety protocols and ensure proper disinfection and maintenance of equipment.
  7. Stay up-to-date on advancements and changes in the field of maternal fetal medicine and ultrasound technology.
  8. Attend and actively participate in departmental meetings and training sessions.
  9. Provide compassionate and comforting care to patients during the ultrasound procedure.
  10. Educate patients and their families about the ultrasound process and answer any questions they may have.
  11. Collaborate with other sonographers and healthcare professionals to ensure smooth and efficient workflow.
  12. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, including HIPAA regulations.
  13. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and help maintain a high level of patient satisfaction.
  14. Act as a resource and mentor for less experienced sonographers.
  15. Perform other duties as assigned by the department supervisor or physician.

Job Qualifications
  • Ardms Certification: The Candidate Should Hold A Valid Certification From The American Registry For Diagnostic Medical Sonography (Ardms) In Obstetrics And Gynecology.

  • Bachelor's Degree: A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Diagnostic Medical Sonography Or A Related Field Is Required For This Position.

  • Experience In Maternal Fetal Medicine: The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 2-3 Years Of Experience In Performing Advanced Ultrasound Procedures In A Maternal Fetal Medicine Setting.

  • Knowledge Of High-Risk Pregnancy Conditions: The Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of High-Risk Pregnancy Conditions, Including Fetal Anomalies, Multiple Gestations, And Maternal Complications.

  • Excellent Communication Skills: This Role Requires Frequent Interaction With Patients, Physicians, And Other Healthcare Professionals. Strong Communication Skills, Both Verbal And Written, Are Essential For Success In This Position.
