  1. Conduct mammography screenings and diagnostic imaging procedures in accordance with established protocols and safety standards.
  2. Prepare patients for procedures and provide clear instructions to ensure their comfort and understanding.
  3. Position patients and adjust equipment to obtain high quality images.
  4. Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient procedures and results.
  5. Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to assist with interpretation and diagnosis of imaging results.
  6. Ensure proper maintenance and functioning of equipment, and report any malfunctions or issues.
  7. Adhere to infection control and safety protocols to protect patients and staff.
  8. Provide compassionate care and support to patients during procedures.
  9. Stay updated on advancements and changes in mammography technology and procedures.
  10. Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives.
  11. Educate patients about the importance of breast health and the benefits of regular mammography screenings.
  12. Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
  13. Work collaboratively with other members of the healthcare team to provide exceptional patient care.
  14. Attend trainings and educational sessions to maintain required certifications and licenses.
  15. Uphold the mission and values of Franciscan Health in all aspects of the job.

Job Qualifications
  • Current Arrt (American Registry Of Radiologic Technologists) Certification In Mammography.

  • Bachelor's Degree In Radiologic Technology Or Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience As A Mammography Technologist In A Hospital Or Clinical Setting.

  • Working Knowledge Of Pacs (Picture Archiving And Communication System) And Ris (Radiology Information System).

  • Strong Interpersonal And Communication Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Interact With Patients And Healthcare Team Members.
