  1. Conduct echocardiograms and other diagnostic imaging procedures accurately and efficiently.
  2. Ensure patient comfort and safety during procedures.
  3. Maintain and operate diagnostic equipment according to established protocols and safety standards.
  4. Analyze and interpret test results to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating patients.
  5. Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals regarding test results and patient care.
  6. Document and maintain accurate and detailed records of patient information and test results.
  7. Collaborate with other healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  8. Stay up-to-date with advancements in technology and procedures in the field of echocardiography.
  9. Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
  10. Participate in quality assurance activities to ensure high standards of patient care.
  11. Demonstrate compassion, empathy, and professionalism when interacting with patients and their families.
  12. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  13. Attend continuing education and training programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
  14. Comply with all organizational policies and procedures.
  15. Act as a mentor to new Echo Technicians and assist in their training and development.
  16. Remain flexible and adaptable to changing work environments and schedules.
  17. Collaborate with other departments and healthcare facilities as needed.
  18. Continuously strive to improve the quality of patient care and overall department operations.
  19. Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols.
  20. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or department leadership.

Job Qualifications
  • Completion Of An Accredited Program In Echocardiography Or Sonography.

  • Certification As A Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (Rdcs) Through The American Registry For Diagnostic Medical Sonography (Ardms).

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience As An Echo Technician In A Hospital Or Clinical Setting.

  • Proficient In Performing A Variety Of Echocardiography Procedures, Including Transthoracic, Transesophageal, And Stress Echocardiograms.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Well With Patients, Physicians, And Other Healthcare Professionals.
