  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to evaluate the quality of patient care and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals and departments to develop and implement quality improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor and analyze data to track trends and identify potential issues related to clinical quality.
  • Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
  • Provide education and training to staff on quality improvement principles and practices.
  • Act as a resource for staff regarding quality improvement methods and strategies.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Communicate and collaborate with external agencies and organizations to stay informed on industry trends and best practices.
  • Serve as a liaison between clinical staff, administration, and external stakeholders to promote a culture of quality and patient safety.
  • Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and accreditation standards to ensure compliance in all quality improvement efforts.

Job Qualifications
  • Current Rn License: The Clinical Quality Specialist Rn Must Have A Valid And Current Rn License In The State Where Franciscan Health Is Located.

  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing: A Bachelor's Degree In Nursing Is Typically Required For This Role, As It Provides The Necessary Knowledge And Skills In Quality Improvement, Data Analysis, And Evidence-Based Practice.

  • Quality Improvement Experience: The Ideal Candidate For This Role Should Have At Least 2-3 Years Of Experience In Quality Improvement, Preferably In A Healthcare Setting. This Experience Should Include Developing, Implementing, And Evaluating Quality Improvement Initiatives.

  • Knowledge Of Regulatory Requirements: The Clinical Quality Specialist Rn Must Have A Strong Understanding Of Regulatory Requirements, Such As Joint Commission Standards And Cms Guidelines, To Ensure Compliance And Drive Continuous Quality Improvement Efforts.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: This Role Requires Working Closely With Various Healthcare Teams, Including Physicians, Nurses, And Other Healthcare Professionals. Therefore, Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Essential To Effectively Collaborate And Facilitate Quality Improvement Initiatives.
