Bachelor's Degree In Nutrition Or Related Field: A Minimum Of A Four-Year Degree In Nutrition, Dietetics, Or A Related Field Is Typically Required For A Clinical Dietitian Position At Franciscan Health. This Education Provides The Necessary Foundation In Anatomy, Physiology, And Nutrition Science To Effectively Perform The Duties Of The Job.
Registered Dietitian (Rd) Credential: Franciscan Health Requires All Clinical Dietitians To Be Registered With The Commission On Dietetic Registration (Cdr) As An Rd. This Credential Ensures That The Individual Has Completed A Rigorous Education And Training Program And Has Passed A National Certification Exam.
State Licensure: In Addition To Being An Rd, Franciscan Health May Also Require Clinical Dietitians To Hold A State License. This Ensures That The Individual Meets All State-Specific Requirements And Regulations For Practicing As A Dietitian.
