- Provide personalized nutrition care to patients by assessing their individual needs and developing treatment plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest research and developments in the field of nutrition and incorporate this knowledge into patient care.
- Utilize strong clinical knowledge and expertise to evaluate patients’ medical histories, lab results, and current medications to develop appropriate nutrition plans.
- Educate patients and their families on proper nutrition and lifestyle changes to improve their health outcomes.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including doctors, nurses, and therapists, to ensure a comprehensive and holistic approach to patient care.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient consultations and treatment plans.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient progress and make any necessary adjustments to treatment plans.
- Stay compliant with all regulatory standards and guidelines related to nutrition and patient care.
- Continuously assess and improve the effectiveness of nutrition interventions and make recommendations for changes as needed.
- Act as a resource for colleagues and provide guidance and support to less experienced dietitians or other healthcare professionals.

Bachelor's Degree In Dietetics Or A Related Field: A Clinical Dietitian At Franciscan Health Must Possess At Least A Bachelor's Degree In Dietetics Or A Related Field From An Accredited Institution. This Ensures That The Candidate Has A Strong Foundation In Nutrition Science And Can Apply It To Patient Care.
Registered Dietitian (Rd) Credential: To Be Considered For A Clinical Dietitian Position At Franciscan Health, Candidates Must Be A Registered Dietitian (Rd) Through The Commission On Dietetic Registration (Cdr). This Credential Demonstrates That The Candidate Has Met The Rigorous Educational And Experience Requirements Set By The Cdr.
State Licensure: In Addition To The Rd Credential, Candidates Must Also Hold A State License To Practice As A Dietitian In The State Where Franciscan Health Is Located. This Ensures That The Candidate Is Legally Qualified To Provide Nutrition Care To Patients.
