  1. Develop and implement safety and security policies and procedures to ensure the protection of patients, staff, and visitors.
  2. Oversee all safety and security programs and initiatives, including risk assessments, emergency preparedness, and incident reporting.
  3. Collaborate with department leaders and staff to identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  4. Conduct regular safety and security audits to assess compliance with regulations and identify areas for improvement.
  5. Provide leadership and guidance to the safety and security team, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
  6. Serve as a liaison with local law enforcement agencies and emergency response teams.
  7. Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and regulatory requirements related to safety and security in healthcare.
  8. Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to promote a culture of safety throughout the organization.
  9. Coordinate and facilitate safety and security training programs for staff to increase awareness and promote proactive risk management.
  10. Serve as the point of contact for any safety and security-related incidents and ensure timely and appropriate response and resolution.
  11. Monitor and manage the safety and security budget, including identifying areas for cost savings and making recommendations for equipment and technology upgrades.
  12. Collaborate with other departments to ensure a coordinated response to emergency situations.
  13. Communicate regularly with senior leadership to provide updates on safety and security initiatives and address any concerns or issues.
  14. Conduct investigations into safety and security incidents and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
  15. Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement within the safety and security team.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Criminal Justice, Security Management, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Experience In Safety And Security Management, Preferably In A Healthcare Setting.

  • Knowledge Of Federal, State, And Local Laws And Regulations Related To Safety And Security In Healthcare.

  • Strong Leadership And Communication Skills, With The Ability To Manage A Team And Collaborate With Other Departments.

  • Certification In Healthcare Security (Chs) Or Certified Protection Professional (Cpp) Is Preferred.
