- Develop and implement quality control processes and procedures to ensure the highest level of product quality.
- Conduct thorough product inspections and audits to identify any defects or issues that may impact product quality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production and engineering, to address quality concerns and implement corrective actions.
- Utilize statistical analysis and data to identify trends and patterns in product quality and recommend improvements.
- Monitor and analyze production processes to identify potential areas for improvement and implement changes to increase efficiency and reduce errors.
- Train and educate production staff on quality control processes and procedures to ensure understanding and adherence.
- Conduct root cause analysis on quality issues and develop solutions to prevent future occurrences.
- Communicate with suppliers to ensure the quality of incoming materials meets company standards.
- Stay up-to-date on industry standards and regulations related to product quality and make recommendations for compliance.
- Act as a liaison between customers and the company to address any quality concerns or issues.
- Regularly review and update quality control documentation and procedures to ensure accuracy and effectiveness.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and provide suggestions for improving product quality and processes.
- Monitor and report on key quality metrics to management and make recommendations for improvement.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Represent the company in a professional manner and uphold the company's values and standards at all times.
Bachelor's Degree In Engineering Or Related Field: A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Engineering, Preferably In Mechanical Or Industrial Engineering, Is Typically Required For A Manufacturing Quality Engineer Role At Fortive.
Strong Understanding Of Quality Management Systems: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Quality Management Systems, Such As Iso 9001, To Ensure Compliance With Industry Standards And Regulations.
Experience In Manufacturing Or Quality Engineering: Previous Experience In A Manufacturing Or Quality Engineering Role Is Highly Desirable. This Includes Knowledge Of Quality Control Techniques And Tools, Such As Six Sigma, Statistical Process Control, And Root Cause Analysis.
Familiarity With Lean Manufacturing Principles: Fortive Places A Strong Emphasis On Lean Manufacturing Principles, And Therefore, Candidates With Experience In Lean Methodologies And Continuous Improvement Initiatives Will Be Preferred.
Excellent Communication And Problem-Solving Skills: A Successful Manufacturing Quality Engineer Should Possess Strong Communication And Problem-Solving Skills To Effectively Collaborate With Cross-Functional Teams And Resolve Quality-Related Issues In A Timely Manner.
