  1. Develop and implement compliance policies and procedures related to government contracts.
  2. Monitor and review changes in government contracts laws, regulations, and policies and update internal processes accordingly.
  3. Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify and mitigate potential compliance risks.
  4. Train and educate employees on government contracts compliance requirements.
  5. Advise and provide guidance to business units on compliance matters related to government contracts.
  6. Review and negotiate government contracts, ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
  7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance and procurement, to ensure compliance in all aspects of government contract management.
  8. Respond to government inquiries and investigations related to compliance matters.
  9. Stay informed of industry best practices and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
  10. Maintain accurate and detailed records of compliance activities and reports.
  11. Serve as a point of contact for government agencies and third-party vendors regarding compliance matters.
  12. Assist in the development and execution of compliance training programs for new and existing employees.
  13. Monitor and report on the company's compliance with government contracts requirements to senior management.
  14. Keep abreast of changes in the legal landscape and provide proactive advice and guidance to the company.
  15. Uphold the company's ethical standards and promote a culture of compliance throughout the organization.

Job Qualifications

  • Extensive Knowledge Of Government Contract Regulations: A Government Contracts Compliance Attorney At Fortive Should Possess A Thorough Understanding Of The Federal Acquisition Regulation (Far) And Other Applicable Laws And Regulations Related To Government Contracts.

  • Experience In Government Contract Negotiations: The Ideal Candidate Should Have Experience In Negotiating And Drafting Government Contracts, Including Prime Contracts, Subcontracts, And Teaming Agreements.

  • Familiarity With Compliance Monitoring And Training: A Government Contracts Compliance Attorney Should Have Experience In Developing And Implementing Compliance Monitoring And Training Programs To Ensure Adherence To Government Contract Requirements.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: The Role Requires The Ability To Effectively Communicate Complex Legal Concepts To Non-Legal Stakeholders And Build Relationships With Internal And External Parties.

  • Juris Doctor (J.d.) Degree And State Bar Admission: A Government Contracts Compliance Attorney Should Hold A J.d. Degree From An Accredited Law School And Be Admitted To Practice Law In At Least One State. Admission To The Bar In The State Of Washington Is Preferred.
