Job Description

Fortive is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Export Control & ITAR Program Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all export control laws and regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). As our ideal candidate, you will have a strong background in export control and possess a thorough understanding of ITAR requirements. You will also possess excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.   1. Develop and maintain Fortive's export control and ITAR compliance program.
  2. Ensure compliance with all relevant export control laws and regulations, including ITAR.
  3. Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify potential compliance issues and implement corrective actions.
  4. Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on export control and ITAR requirements.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance in all areas of the business.
  6. Keep up-to-date with changes in export control laws and regulations and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders.
  7. Implement and maintain internal processes and procedures to ensure compliance with export control and ITAR requirements.
  8. Serve as the primary point of contact for all export control and ITAR-related inquiries.
  9. Develop and maintain relationships with government agencies and external partners to facilitate compliance.
  10. Prepare and submit export license applications and maintain records of approvals and denials.
  11. Monitor and report on export control and ITAR compliance metrics.
  12. Continuously assess and improve the export control and ITAR program to ensure effectiveness and efficiency.
  13. Maintain proper documentation and records related to export control and ITAR compliance.
  14. Identify potential risks and proactively develop strategies to mitigate them.
  15. Communicate any potential compliance issues or violations to senior management and work towards resolution.
  16. Stay informed on industry best practices and incorporate them into the export control and ITAR program.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Knowledge Of Export Control Regulations: A Qualified Export Control & Itar Program Manager At Fortive Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Various Export Control Regulations, Including The International Traffic In Arms Regulations (Itar) And The Export Administration Regulations (Ear).

  • Experience In Developing And Implementing Export Control Programs: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Proven Track Record Of Developing And Implementing Effective Export Control Programs In A Complex Global Organization.

  • Strong Project Management Skills: This Role Requires Managing Multiple Projects And Initiatives Simultaneously, So The Candidate Should Have Excellent Project Management Skills To Ensure Timely And Successful Completion Of All Tasks.

  • Familiarity With Itar Compliance Requirements: As The Itar Regulations Are Complex And Constantly Evolving, The Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of The Compliance Requirements To Ensure The Company's Full Compliance With All Applicable Laws And Regulations.

  • Excellent Communication And Leadership Abilities: The Export Control & Itar Program Manager Will Be Responsible For Collaborating With Various Teams And Stakeholders Within The Organization, So Strong Communication And Leadership Skills Are Essential For Success In This Role.
