Job Description

If so, Fortive is seeking a skilled Calibration Technician to join our team. As a Calibration Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of our measurement equipment. We are looking for someone who is dedicated, organized, and has a strong understanding of calibration principles.   1. Perform calibration and maintenance on a variety of measurement equipment and instrumentation to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  2. Follow established procedures and standards to perform calibrations and document results.
  3. Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with equipment, making necessary repairs or adjustments.
  4. Create and maintain calibration schedules and records to ensure compliance with industry regulations and company standards.
  5. Coordinate with other departments and teams to schedule and prioritize equipment calibrations.
  6. Stay up-to-date on industry standards and best practices for calibration to ensure equipment meets or exceeds requirements.
  7. Maintain a clean and organized work area, properly storing and labeling equipment and tools.
  8. Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to report any issues or concerns with equipment.
  9. Conduct quality checks and participate in audits to ensure equipment is calibrated correctly and meets specifications.
  10. Continuously improve and streamline calibration processes to increase efficiency and accuracy.
  11. Adhere to safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment when working with equipment.
  12. Train and mentor new team members on calibration procedures and standards.
  13. Stay organized and manage time effectively to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks.
  14. Maintain a professional and positive attitude while representing the company to clients and vendors.
  15. Identify and report any potential improvements or issues with equipment to management for further evaluation and action.
