We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Director Buying for Women's Footwear to join our team. As the Senior Director, you will be responsible for leading and managing the buying strategy for our women's footwear category. We are looking for a talented individual with a strong background in retail buying, a keen eye for fashion trends, and a passion for driving business growth. If you are a strategic thinker, a leader in the industry, and have a love for sneakers, then we want to hear from you!

  1. Develop and implement strategic buying plans for the women's footwear category, in line with company goals and objectives.
  2. Lead and manage a team of buyers to ensure timely and effective execution of buying strategies.
  3. Stay up-to-date with current fashion trends, consumer behavior, and market competition to make informed buying decisions.
  4. Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify potential new products and brands that align with company and customer needs.
  5. Negotiate with suppliers and vendors to secure the best deals, terms, and pricing for the company.
  6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including merchandising, marketing, and sales, to ensure a cohesive and successful buying strategy.
  7. Monitor and analyze sales performance, inventory levels, and market trends to make data-driven decisions and adjustments to buying plans.
  8. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key vendors and partners.
  9. Continuously evaluate and improve processes and procedures to increase efficiency and profitability.
  10. Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and buying trips to stay informed and connected within the industry.
  11. Mentor and develop junior buying team members, providing guidance and support to foster their professional growth.
  12. Maintain a deep understanding of the company's brand and culture, ensuring all buying decisions align with and promote the company's values and image.
  13. Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on buying strategies, performance, and opportunities for growth.
  14. Stay informed of and comply with industry regulations and ethical standards in all buying practices.
  15. Foster a positive and inclusive work environment, promoting teamwork, open communication, and a passion for excellence.
