- Receive and inspect incoming materials, verifying accuracy and quality against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Organize and store materials in designated locations, ensuring proper inventory management and adherence to safety regulations.
- Retrieve and prepare materials for shipment, carefully packing and labeling items to ensure accurate delivery to customers.
- Utilize material handling equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, to move and transport materials throughout the warehouse.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and perform regular cycle counts to identify and resolve any discrepancies.
- Collaborate with other team members to fulfill orders in a timely and efficient manner, prioritizing urgent requests and communicating any delays or issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to company safety standards and reporting any maintenance or safety concerns.
- Continuously identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and productivity in material handling operations.
- Follow all company policies and procedures, including proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials and compliance with OSHA regulations.
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments to ensure smooth and accurate material flow throughout the warehouse.
Experience In Warehouse Operations: A Qualified Material Handler At Foot Locker Should Have Prior Experience In Warehouse Operations, Such As Receiving, Storing, And Shipping Products.
Familiarity With Inventory Management: The Ideal Candidate Should Have Strong Knowledge Of Inventory Management Processes, Including Tracking, Organizing, And Maintaining Accurate Records Of Products.
Physical Stamina And Strength: Material Handling Involves Physical Labor, Such As Lifting And Moving Heavy Boxes And Equipment. Therefore, The Candidate Should Possess Physical Stamina And Strength To Perform These Tasks Efficiently.
