As a Material Handler, you will play a crucial role in our operations by maintaining accurate inventory levels and assisting with the flow of merchandise.   1. Receive and unload merchandise from delivery trucks in a timely and efficient manner.
  2. Verify accuracy of received products and report any discrepancies to management.
  3. Organize and store merchandise in designated areas according to company standards.
  4. Maintain accurate inventory levels and ensure that products are properly labeled and tagged.
  5. Assist with the flow of merchandise by retrieving and preparing items for shipment.
  6. Operate equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks to move and transport merchandise.
  7. Keep work area clean and organized to promote a safe and efficient working environment.
  8. Collaborate with other team members to complete tasks and meet deadlines.
  9. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing any product or inventory inquiries.
  10. Follow company safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents or injuries.
  11. Communicate any issues or concerns regarding inventory or equipment to management.
  12. Participate in inventory counts and assist with reconciling any discrepancies.
  13. Actively seek ways to improve processes and increase efficiency in material handling.
  14. Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times.
  15. Maintain a positive and professional attitude while representing the company to customers and vendors.

Job Qualifications

  • Prior Experience In Material Handling: Candidates For A Material Handler Position At Foot Locker Should Have Experience Working In A Warehouse Or Distribution Center Environment, With A Strong Understanding Of Material Handling Processes And Equipment.

  • Physical Fitness And Stamina: Material Handlers At Foot Locker Are Required To Lift And Move Heavy Boxes And Equipment On A Regular Basis. Therefore, Candidates Should Be Physically Fit And Able To Handle The Physical Demands Of The Job.

  • Familiarity With Inventory Management Systems: Foot Locker Utilizes Inventory Management Systems To Track And Manage Their Merchandise. Candidates Should Have Experience Working With These Systems And Be Comfortable Using Technology To Perform Their Job Duties.

  • Team Player Mentality: Material Handlers At Foot Locker Work As Part Of A Team To Ensure The Efficient And Timely Movement Of Merchandise. Therefore, Candidates Should Have A Strong Teamwork Mindset And Be Able To Communicate Effectively With Their Colleagues.
