- Receive and process incoming shipments of athletic footwear and apparel.
- Inspect all products for quality and accuracy according to company standards.
- Ensure proper labeling, tagging, and packaging of products.
- Organize and maintain inventory levels in the stockroom and on the sales floor.
- Accurately record and report inventory levels to management.
- Collaborate with the sales team to ensure that popular products are restocked in a timely manner.
- Prepare and pack outgoing shipments for transfer to other stores or online orders.
- Keep the stockroom and sales floor clean, organized, and safe for all team members and customers.
- Assist with pricing and merchandising of products on the sales floor.
- Communicate with management regarding any inventory discrepancies or issues.
- Continuously monitor inventory levels to anticipate and meet customer demand.
- Follow all safety procedures and protocols when handling and moving merchandise.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.
- Participate in training and development opportunities to improve job performance.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Knowledge Of Inventory Management: A Material Handler At Foot Locker Must Have A Thorough Understanding Of Inventory Management Principles, Including How To Track, Organize, And Maintain Inventory Levels.
Physical Stamina And Strength: This Role Requires Frequent Lifting, Carrying, And Moving Of Heavy Items, So Physical Stamina And Strength Are Essential Qualifications For A Material Handler At Foot Locker.
Attention To Detail: Accuracy Is Crucial In This Role, As Material Handlers Are Responsible For Ensuring That The Correct Products Are Received, Stored, And Shipped. Attention To Detail Is Necessary To Avoid Inventory Errors And Maintain Efficient Operations.
Communication Skills: Material Handlers At Foot Locker Must Be Able To Communicate Well With Team Members, Supervisors, And Other Departments. This Includes Effectively Relaying Information About Inventory Levels, Coordinating With Other Departments For Shipments, And Reporting Any Issues Or Discrepancies.
Forklift And Warehouse Equipment Experience: Familiarity And Experience With Operating Forklifts And Other Warehouse Equipment Is A Must For A Material Handler At Foot Locker. This Includes Knowledge Of Safety Procedures And Maintenance Of Equipment To Ensure A Safe And Productive Work Environment.
