- Receive and process incoming merchandise shipments from vendors and distribution centers.
- Ensure accuracy and quality of received merchandise by inspecting and verifying against purchase orders.
- Sort and organize merchandise in designated locations within the warehouse.
- Maintain inventory levels by restocking merchandise as needed.
- Assist in the preparation of merchandise for display on the sales floor.
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move merchandise within the warehouse.
- Keep the warehouse clean, safe, and organized at all times.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely and accurate completion of tasks.
- Follow all safety procedures and protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Communicate any inventory discrepancies or issues to management promptly.
- Assist with periodic inventory counts and audits.
- Cross-train in various warehouse functions to provide support as needed.
- Follow company policies and procedures at all times.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding to inquiries and requests from store associates and customers.
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes and procedures to increase efficiency and productivity.
Experience In Warehouse Operations: A Material Handler At Foot Locker Should Have Prior Experience In Working In A Warehouse Environment, Including Knowledge Of Inventory Management, Receiving And Shipping Procedures, And Safety Protocols.
Physical Stamina And Strength: This Position Requires Lifting And Moving Heavy Boxes And Equipment, Therefore Applicants Should Be Physically Fit And Able To Perform Manual Labor For Extended Periods Of Time.
Attention To Detail: Material Handlers Are Responsible For Verifying And Recording Accurate Inventory Counts, So Attention To Detail Is Crucial In Maintaining Accurate Records And Preventing Errors.
Forklift Certification: Foot Locker May Require Material Handlers To Operate Forklifts To Move And Stack Pallets And Equipment. Applicants With Prior Forklift Certification Will Have An Advantage.
