- Receive and process incoming merchandise shipments from vendors and distribution centers.
- Verify accuracy of received merchandise against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Organize and stock merchandise in designated areas within the store.
- Maintain inventory levels by restocking merchandise on sales floor as needed.
- Keep track of inventory and report any discrepancies to management.
- Ensure that all merchandise is properly tagged and labeled for easy identification.
- Assist with inventory counts and audits as needed.
- Operate equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts to move merchandise.
- Ensure that all safety protocols are followed while handling merchandise and operating equipment.
- Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding merchandise movement and inventory levels.
- Keep work area clean and organized at all times.
- Follow company policies and procedures, including but not limited to, proper handling of merchandise and cash handling.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with locating and retrieving merchandise.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient and timely completion of tasks.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
Physically Fit: Material Handlers At Foot Locker Are Required To Lift And Move Heavy Boxes, Bins, And Containers. Therefore, Applicants Should Be Physically Fit And Able To Perform These Tasks Efficiently.
Familiarity With Inventory Management Systems: Foot Locker Utilizes Inventory Management Systems To Track And Manage The Flow Of Merchandise. Candidates Should Have Experience Working With These Systems Or Be Able To Quickly Learn And Adapt To Them.
Attention To Detail: Material Handlers Are Responsible For Keeping Track Of Large Quantities Of Merchandise And Ensuring That It Is Accurately Labeled And Stored. Attention To Detail Is Crucial To Prevent Errors And Ensure Smooth Operations.
