  1. Lead and manage a team of sales associates to achieve and exceed sales goals.
  2. Create a positive and motivating work environment for the team.
  3. Train and onboard new team members and ensure that all employees are knowledgeable about products and company policies.
  4. Set and communicate clear expectations for the team and hold them accountable for their performance.
  5. Monitor and analyze sales data to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to increase sales.
  6. Provide exceptional customer service and act as a role model for the team in this regard.
  7. Assist customers with product selection and provide product knowledge and recommendations.
  8. Handle customer complaints and resolve any issues in a timely and professional manner.
  9. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and product knowledge to provide accurate and relevant information to customers.
  10. Ensure the store is properly stocked and presentable at all times.
  11. Collaborate with other department leads and store management to develop and implement effective sales strategies.
  12. Conduct regular team meetings to communicate updates, sales goals, and provide feedback.
  13. Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure products are always available for customers.
  14. Maintain a thorough understanding of company policies and procedures and ensure they are followed by the team.
  15. Create and maintain a schedule for the team that ensures adequate coverage during peak business hours.
  16. Monitor and track employee performance and provide coaching and feedback as needed.
  17. Assist with any other tasks or duties as assigned by store management.

Job Qualifications
  • Strong Leadership Skills: A Department Lead At Foot Locker Should Possess Strong Leadership Skills To Effectively Manage And Guide Their Team. This Includes The Ability To Delegate Tasks, Provide Feedback, And Motivate Team Members To Achieve Goals.

  • Retail Experience: A Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience In A Retail Setting, Preferably Within The Athletic Footwear And Apparel Industry, Is Required For A Department Lead Position At Foot Locker. This Ensures That The Individual Has A Solid Understanding Of The Company's Products, Processes, And Customer Service Standards.

  • Excellent Communication Skills: As A Department Lead, The Individual Will Be Responsible For Communicating With Team Members, Customers, And Upper Management. Therefore, Strong Verbal And Written Communication Skills Are Essential For This Role.

  • Knowledge Of Sales And Inventory Management: A Successful Department Lead Should Have Experience In Sales And Inventory Management In A Retail Environment. This Includes The Ability To Analyze Sales Data, Create Sales Forecasts, And Manage Inventory Levels To Ensure Optimal Stock Levels.

  • Customer Service Focus: Foot Locker Prides Itself On Providing Excellent Customer Service, And A Department Lead Should Have A Customer-Centric Mindset. This Includes The Ability To Handle Customer Complaints And Provide Solutions, As Well As Ensuring That Team Members Deliver Exceptional Service To Every Customer.
