  1. Oversee the day-to-day operations of a specific department within the store, including managing inventory, scheduling, and ensuring the department is well-maintained and organized.
  2. Lead and motivate a team of sales associates to provide exceptional customer service and achieve sales goals.
  3. Develop and implement strategies to increase sales and drive revenue within the department.
  4. Train and onboard new team members, ensuring they have a strong understanding of company policies, products, and customer service standards.
  5. Monitor and analyze department sales and customer feedback to identify areas for improvement and implement changes as needed.
  6. Foster a positive and inclusive work environment, promoting teamwork and collaboration among team members.
  7. Stay updated on industry trends, product knowledge, and competitor activities to make informed decisions and maintain a competitive edge.
  8. Handle customer inquiries and concerns, resolving issues promptly and ensuring a positive shopping experience for all customers.
  9. Collaborate with other department leads and store management to coordinate sales and promotional events and achieve overall store goals.
  10. Maintain visual merchandising standards and ensure the department is well-stocked and visually appealing at all times.
  11. Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including but not limited to safety protocols, cash handling, and inventory management.
  12. Act as a role model for company values and provide guidance and support to team members as needed.
  13. Continuously seek opportunities for personal and professional growth, staying updated on industry developments and participating in training and development programs.

Job Qualifications
  • Previous Retail Management Experience: A Department Lead At Foot Locker Should Have At Least 2-3 Years Of Experience In A Retail Management Role. This Will Demonstrate Their Ability To Lead A Team And Manage Day-To-Day Operations Effectively.

  • Strong Customer Service Skills: Foot Locker Is A Customer-Focused Company, And The Department Lead Should Have Exceptional Customer Service Skills. This Includes The Ability To Handle Difficult Situations With Customers And Ensure A Positive Shopping Experience.

  • Excellent Communication Skills: The Department Lead Will Be Responsible For Communicating With Both Customers And Employees. They Should Have Excellent Verbal And Written Communication Skills To Effectively Convey Information And Address Any Issues That May Arise.

  • Knowledge Of Athletic Footwear And Apparel: A Strong Understanding Of The Products Sold At Foot Locker Is Essential For A Department Lead. They Should Be Knowledgeable About The Latest Trends, Brands, And Technology In Athletic Footwear And Apparel To Provide Guidance To Customers And Employees.

  • Leadership And Team Management Skills: As A Department Lead, This Person Will Be Responsible For Overseeing A Team Of Sales Associates. They Should Have Strong Leadership Skills To Motivate And Guide Their Team To Meet Sales Goals And Provide Excellent Customer Service.
