Welcome to the team at Foot Locker! We are currently seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to join us as our Department Lead. As a Department Lead, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our store by leading and inspiring a team of sales associates. We are looking for someone who is passionate about the retail industry, has a natural ability to lead and motivate others, and is committed to delivering exceptional customer service.   1. Lead and mentor a team of sales associates to achieve sales goals and provide excellent customer service.
  2. Set and communicate clear expectations for team performance and hold team members accountable.
  3. Create a positive and motivating work environment for the team.
  4. Train and onboard new team members, ensuring they are knowledgeable about products and sales techniques.
  5. Monitor inventory levels and work with management to ensure adequate stock levels.
  6. Collaborate with other department leads and store management to develop and implement strategies to increase sales and improve store performance.
  7. Handle customer inquiries and complaints, resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  8. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and products, and share this knowledge with the team.
  9. Conduct regular performance evaluations for team members and provide ongoing feedback and coaching.
  10. Oversee daily operations of the department, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and visual merchandising.
  11. Identify and address any staffing or scheduling needs to ensure adequate coverage for the department.
  12. Uphold company policies and procedures, promoting a safe and inclusive work environment.
  13. Act as a role model for the team by demonstrating excellent customer service, sales techniques, and work ethic.
  14. Assist with special projects and tasks as assigned by store management.
  15. Continuously strive to improve department and store performance, offering suggestions for process improvements and implementing them when approved.
