As a Department Lead, you will play a critical role in driving sales and providing excellent customer service while also leading and motivating a team of associates.   1. Lead and motivate a team of associates to drive sales and provide excellent customer service.
  2. Ensure that all team members are knowledgeable about current products and promotions.
  3. Create and maintain a positive and inclusive work environment for all team members.
  4. Develop and implement strategies to increase department sales and profitability.
  5. Monitor and analyze sales data to identify opportunities for improvement and implement necessary changes.
  6. Train new team members on company policies, procedures, and product knowledge.
  7. Set and communicate performance expectations for team members and provide regular feedback.
  8. Collaborate with other department leads and store management to ensure a cohesive and successful operation.
  9. Handle customer inquiries and complaints in a professional and timely manner.
  10. Ensure that all department operations are in compliance with company policies and procedures.
  11. Work closely with the store manager to achieve store goals and objectives.
  12. Stay up-to-date on industry trends, new product releases, and competitive landscape.
  13. Participate in hiring, onboarding, and training of new team members.
  14. Conduct regular inventory audits and assist in maintaining accurate stock levels.
  15. Demonstrate a strong knowledge and passion for sneakers, sports, and retail.

  • Strong Leadership Skills: The Department Lead Should Possess Excellent Leadership Abilities And Be Able To Motivate And Guide Team Members To Achieve Goals.

  • Retail Experience: A Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Retail Experience, Preferably In A Similar Role, Is Required For This Position. The Candidate Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of The Retail Industry And Its Operations.

  • Product Knowledge: The Department Lead Must Have A Comprehensive Understanding Of The Products Sold At Foot Locker And Be Able To Provide Accurate Information To Customers And Team Members.

  • Communication Skills: Effective Communication Is Crucial For The Department Lead To Efficiently Communicate With Team Members, Customers, And Upper Management. The Candidate Should Have Excellent Verbal And Written Communication Skills.

  • Organizational Skills: The Department Lead Must Be Highly Organized And Able To Manage And Prioritize Multiple Tasks Effectively. This Includes Overseeing Inventory Management, Scheduling, And Ensuring The Store's Visual Merchandising Standards Are Met.
