  1. Conduct market research to identify current and upcoming trends in women's and kids' apparel.
  2. Collaborate with the buying team to develop and implement buying strategies that align with the company's overall goals and objectives.
  3. Source and negotiate with vendors to secure the best deals and pricing for merchandise.
  4. Analyze sales data and customer feedback to make informed purchasing decisions.
  5. Maintain strong relationships with existing vendors and actively seek out new partnerships.
  6. Monitor inventory levels and make adjustments as needed to ensure optimal stock levels.
  7. Keep up-to-date with industry developments, including competitor trends and pricing.
  8. Communicate and collaborate with other departments, such as marketing and merchandising, to ensure cohesive buying and promotional strategies.
  9. Attend trade shows and buying trips to stay informed on the latest fashion trends and build relationships with vendors.
  10. Conduct regular store visits to gather customer feedback and identify areas for improvement.
  11. Stay within given budget constraints while making strategic purchasing decisions.
  12. Train and mentor assistant buyers to develop their skills and knowledge in buying.
  13. Work closely with the planning and allocation team to ensure merchandise is distributed appropriately across stores.
  14. Stay updated on sales performance and make recommendations for markdowns or promotions when necessary.
  15. Continuously strive to improve and enhance the buying process to increase efficiency and profitability for the company.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Fashion Merchandising, Retail Management, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience In Buying Or Merchandising Within The Apparel Industry, Preferably In Women's And/Or Children's Categories.

  • Strong Understanding Of Market Trends And Consumer Preferences In The Women's And Kids Apparel Market.

  • Proficient In Microsoft Excel And Retail Buying Software.

  • Excellent Negotiation And Communication Skills, With The Ability To Build Relationships With Vendors And Internal Teams.
