As a Systems Administrator/Programmer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and optimizing our IT infrastructure, as well as developing and implementing new systems and technologies to support our evolving needs.   1. Manage and maintain the university's IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, databases, and other systems.
  2. Develop and implement new systems and technologies to improve efficiency and support the evolving needs of the university.
  3. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to the university's systems and infrastructure.
  4. Ensure the security and integrity of the university's data and systems through regular backups, updates, and security protocols.
  5. Collaborate with other members of the IT team to identify and address any potential vulnerabilities or risks.
  6. Stay up-to-date on emerging technologies and industry trends to make recommendations for future system upgrades and improvements.
  7. Provide technical support and training to university staff and faculty on various systems and technologies.
  8. Develop and maintain documentation for systems and processes to ensure consistency and accuracy.
  9. Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of new systems and technologies.
  10. Conduct regular maintenance and performance tuning to optimize system functionality and performance.
  11. Assist with the procurement and installation of hardware and software, as needed.
  12. Participate in project planning and contribute to the development of IT policies and procedures.
  13. Collaborate with external vendors and service providers to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  14. Adhere to all security and compliance standards set by the university.
  15. Act as a liaison between the IT department and other departments within the university to ensure effective communication and collaboration.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Computer Science Or A Related Field.

  • At Least 2 Years Of Relevant Experience In Systems Administration And Programming.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Multiple Programming Languages, Such As Java, Python, Or C++.

  • Experience With Database Management And Sql.

  • Familiarity With Virtualization And Cloud Computing Technologies, Such As Aws Or Azure.
