- Monitor and safeguard all store assets, including merchandise, cash, and equipment.
- Conduct regular audits and inventory checks to ensure accuracy and identify any discrepancies.
- Implement and enforce safety and security procedures to prevent theft, fraud, and other losses.
- Collaborate with store management to create and maintain a safe shopping environment for customers and employees.
- Train and educate store associates on asset protection policies and procedures.
- Conduct investigations and gather evidence in cases of suspected theft or fraudulent activity.
- Communicate any security issues or concerns to management and take appropriate action to resolve them.
- Maintain accurate records and reports related to security incidents and investigations.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices to continuously improve asset protection strategies.
- Respond to emergency situations and follow proper protocols to ensure the safety of all individuals.
- Work closely with law enforcement and legal teams as needed.
- Handle any other tasks or responsibilities related to asset protection as assigned by management.
Knowledge Of Loss Prevention Techniques: A Qualified Candidate For A Store Asset Protection Job At Five Below Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Loss Prevention Techniques, Including Cctv Surveillance, Physical Security Measures, And Inventory Control.
Security And Law Enforcement Experience: Previous Experience In Security Or Law Enforcement Is Highly Valued For This Position. Candidates With A Background In These Fields Will Have The Necessary Skills To Handle Potential Threats And Respond To Emergency Situations.
