As a Security Guard at Five Below, you will play an essential role in maintaining the safety and security of our store and our valued customers. - Monitor and patrol the store premises to ensure the safety and security of all customers, employees, and merchandise.
- Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner, creating a welcoming and positive shopping experience.
- Regularly review and enforce store policies and procedures to prevent theft, vandalism, and other security breaches.
- Respond promptly and appropriately to any security incidents or emergencies, following established protocols and procedures.
- Keep accurate and detailed records of any security-related incidents, and report them to the appropriate authorities and management.
- Conduct routine inspections of store exits, entrances, and other high-risk areas to ensure they are secure and free of any safety hazards.
- Monitor security cameras and alarm systems, and take necessary action in case of any suspicious or unauthorized activities.
- Collaborate with store management and other team members to develop and implement effective security strategies and protocols.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends and technologies, and make recommendations for improvements as needed.
- Serve as a positive role model by adhering to company policies and promoting a safe and respectful work environment.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with any security-related concerns or questions they may have.
- Attend training sessions and meetings to enhance job knowledge and skills related to security and safety procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the store manager.
Prior Experience In Security Or Law Enforcement: Five Below May Prefer Candidates Who Have Prior Experience In Security Or Law Enforcement, As They Would Already Have Knowledge And Training In Safety Protocols And Emergency Procedures.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Security Guard At Five Below, Candidates Will Be Required To Interact With Customers And Employees On A Daily Basis. Therefore, Having Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills Is Essential For Maintaining A Professional And Friendly Demeanor.
Physical Fitness And Agility: Security Guards May Be Required To Stand And Walk For Long Periods, As Well As Perform Physical Tasks Such As Patrolling The Premises And Responding To Emergencies. Candidates Should Be Physically Fit And Able To Handle These Tasks.
Ability To Handle Stressful Situations: Security Guards May Encounter Difficult Or Potentially Dangerous Situations While On The Job. Candidates Should Be Able To Remain Calm And Handle These Situations In A Professional And Effective Manner.
