- Greet and welcome customers as they enter the store, providing a friendly and positive first impression.
- Assist customers in finding products and make recommendations based on their needs and preferences.
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using the cash register or other forms of payment.
- Maintain knowledge of current sales and promotions to effectively upsell and cross-sell products.
- Ensure shelves and displays are fully stocked and organized, maintaining a clean and inviting store environment.
- Respond to customer inquiries and concerns in a professional and timely manner.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and provide a positive shopping experience for customers.
- Continuously learn and stay updated on product knowledge, company policies, and procedures.
- Proactively identify and report any issues or discrepancies with inventory or customer transactions.
- Actively participate in store meetings and training sessions to improve customer service and sales skills.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, including but not limited to cash handling and loss prevention.
- Take on additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the store manager.
- Maintain a positive attitude and represent the Five Below brand in a professional manner at all times.
Excellent Communication Skills: A Sales Associate Needs To Be Able To Effectively Communicate With Customers, Fellow Employees, And Management In Order To Provide Exceptional Customer Service And Promote Products Effectively.
Sales Experience: Previous Experience In Sales, Whether In A Retail Setting Or Otherwise, Is Highly Valued For A Sales Associate Role At Five Below. This Experience Demonstrates An Understanding Of Sales Techniques And The Ability To Meet And Exceed Sales Goals.
Customer Service Oriented: Five Below Prides Itself On Providing A Fun And Welcoming Shopping Experience For Its Customers. A Sales Associate Should Be Friendly, Approachable, And Able To Handle Customer Inquiries And Concerns In A Professional And Positive Manner.
Team Player Attitude: As A Member Of A Team, A Sales Associate Should Be Able To Work Well With Others And Contribute To A Positive And Productive Work Environment. This Includes Being Reliable, Cooperative, And Willing To Help Out With Tasks Outside Of Their Own Responsibilities.
