Job Description

Welcome to Five Below, where everything is $5 or below! We are seeking a friendly and energetic individual to join our team as a Sales Associate. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining store appearance, and promoting our products to create a fun and inviting shopping experience for our customers. The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer engagement, a positive attitude, and excellent communication skills.   1. Greet and welcome customers in a friendly and enthusiastic manner.
  2. Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions and addressing concerns.
  3. Maintain knowledge of all products and promotions to effectively promote and sell to customers.
  4. Ensure store appearance is clean, organized, and visually appealing at all times.
  5. Assist customers with finding products and making purchasing decisions.
  6. Process transactions accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale system.
  7. Proactively restock and straighten merchandise to maintain a fully stocked and neat sales floor.
  8. Collaborate with team members to ensure a positive and inclusive work environment.
  9. Act as a brand ambassador by embodying the Five Below brand and values.
  10. Adhere to all company policies and procedures to maintain a safe and secure working environment.
  11. Continuously seek opportunities to improve the customer shopping experience.
  12. Participate in training and development programs to enhance job knowledge and skills.
  13. Assist in receiving and unpacking merchandise shipments.
  14. Communicate any customer feedback or issues to management.
  15. Take on additional tasks and responsibilities as needed to support the overall success of the store.

Job Qualifications

  • Excellent Communication Skills: A Sales Associate At Five Below Must Possess Strong Verbal And Written Communication Skills To Effectively Interact With Customers, Coworkers, And Managers.

  • Customer Service Experience: Prior Experience In A Customer-Facing Role, Such As Retail Or Hospitality, Is Highly Valued For A Sales Associate Position At Five Below. This Experience Demonstrates An Ability To Provide Exceptional Customer Service And Handle Various Customer Inquiries And Concerns.

  • Basic Math And Computer Skills: As A Sales Associate, You Will Be Responsible For Handling Cash Transactions And Using A Point-Of-Sale (Pos) System. Basic Math And Computer Skills Are Essential For Accurately Processing Sales And Maintaining Inventory Records.

  • Team Player Mentality: Five Below Values A Collaborative Work Environment, And A Sales Associate Must Be Able To Work Well With Others. This Includes Being Able To Take Direction From Managers, Communicate Effectively With Coworkers, And Assist In Tasks Outside Of Your Primary Responsibilities.

  • Availability And Flexibility: Five Below Locations Operate On A Flexible Schedule, Including Weekends And Holidays. A Sales Associate Should Have Availability During These Times And Be Willing To Work Varying Shifts To Accommodate The Store's Needs.
