- Oversee and lead a team of pickers in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of orders by monitoring and managing picking processes.
- Train and develop team members to increase efficiency and productivity.
- Set daily production goals and monitor progress to ensure targets are met.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment, adhering to all company safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively with team members and management, providing updates on order status and any issues that may arise.
- Develop and implement picking strategies to optimize efficiency and reduce errors.
- Utilize warehouse management software to track and manage inventory levels and order fulfillment.
- Collaborate with other warehouse supervisors and departments to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate records of picking activities and provide reports to management as needed.
- Continuously identify and implement process improvements to increase productivity and reduce costs.
- Monitor and enforce company policies and procedures to ensure compliance and a positive work culture.
- Lead by example, demonstrating a strong work ethic and promoting a positive and motivated team environment.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to continuously improve picking processes.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Previous Supervisory Experience: A Strong Candidate For A Picking Supervisor Position At Five Below Should Have Prior Experience In A Supervisory Role, Preferably In A Warehouse Or Distribution Center Environment. This Experience Demonstrates The Ability To Lead And Manage A Team Effectively.
Knowledge Of Warehouse Operations: The Picking Supervisor Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Warehouse Operations, Including Inventory Management, Order Fulfillment, And Shipping Processes. This Knowledge Will Be Crucial In Overseeing The Picking Team And Ensuring Efficient Operations.
Strong Communication Skills: As A Picking Supervisor, Effective Communication Is Essential In Relaying Instructions, Providing Feedback, And Addressing Any Issues That May Arise. The Ideal Candidate Should Possess Excellent Verbal And Written Communication Skills.
Attention To Detail: Accuracy Is Critical In The Picking Process, And The Picking Supervisor Must Have Strong Attention To Detail To Ensure Orders Are Fulfilled Correctly. This Includes Verifying Inventory, Checking Order Accuracy, And Maintaining Records.
Leadership And Teamwork Abilities: The Picking Supervisor Will Be Responsible For Leading A Team Of Pickers, So Strong Leadership And Teamwork Skills Are A Must. The Ability To Motivate And Engage Team Members, As Well As Delegate Tasks And Resolve Conflicts, Is Crucial For Success In This Role.
