- Collaborate with other warehouse departments to ensure proper inventory levels and timely processing of orders.
- Monitor and maintain a safe and clean work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback and coaching to team members to improve productivity and efficiency.
- Develop and implement picking procedures and protocols to streamline processes and improve overall efficiency.
- Identify and address any issues or challenges that may arise during the picking process, making quick and effective decisions to keep operations running smoothly.
- Maintain accurate records of picking activities, including inventory levels, pick rates, and any discrepancies.
- Communicate effectively with other supervisors and managers to ensure a cohesive and collaborative work environment.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in order picking and implement them as appropriate.
Experience In Supervising: The Ideal Candidate For A Picking Supervisor Role At Five Below Should Have Previous Experience In Supervising A Team, Preferably In A Retail Or Warehouse Environment. This Includes Managing Employee Schedules, Conducting Performance Evaluations, And Providing Training And Guidance To Team Members.
Knowledge Of Inventory Management: As A Picking Supervisor, This Individual Will Be Responsible For Overseeing The Picking And Packing Of Items For Shipment. Therefore, They Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Inventory Management, Including Inventory Control, Tracking, And Replenishment.
Attention To Detail: The Picking Supervisor Will Be Responsible For Ensuring That All Orders Are Accurately Picked And Packed For Shipment. This Requires A Strong Attention To Detail And The Ability To Identify And Resolve Any Discrepancies Or Errors In The Fulfillment Process.
