- Oversee the development, selection, and delivery of merchandise for all Five Below stores.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and make informed decisions on product selection.
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors to ensure timely and effective delivery of merchandise.
- Work closely with the buying team to identify and purchase new products that align with our brand and customer base.
- Create and maintain merchandise budgets, ensuring profitability and cost-effectiveness.
- Analyze sales data and adjust inventory levels accordingly to optimize sales and minimize excess inventory.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional strategies and campaigns to drive sales.
- Train and mentor store employees on merchandise presentation and sales techniques.
- Monitor inventory levels to ensure adequate stock is available at all times.
- Conduct regular store visits to ensure consistent merchandise presentation and adherence to brand standards.
- Participate in the development and execution of visual merchandising plans.
- Identify and address any product quality or inventory issues in a timely manner.
- Continuously monitor and analyze competitive market trends to identify potential opportunities and threats.
- Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on merchandise performance and sales strategies.
- Maintain a positive working relationship with store managers and communicate effectively to ensure smooth operations.
Strong Retail Experience: A Merchandise Manager At Five Below Should Have A Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Retail Management, Preferably In A Similar Role. This Experience Should Include Overseeing Merchandising Strategies, Inventory Management, And Driving Sales.
Excellent Leadership Skills: As A Merchandise Manager, You Will Be Responsible For Managing A Team Of Associates And Ensuring They Are Motivated, Trained, And Performing At Their Best. Therefore, Strong Leadership Skills, Including The Ability To Delegate, Coach, And Communicate Effectively, Are Essential.
Knowledge Of Merchandising Principles: Five Below Is A Fast-Paced Retail Environment, And The Merchandise Manager Must Have A Strong Understanding Of Merchandising Principles, Including Product Placement, Visual Merchandising, And Inventory Management. This Knowledge Will Help Drive Sales And Ensure A Positive Customer Experience.
