Job Description

Welcome to Five Below, where everything is $5 or less! We are seeking a dynamic and driven individual to join our team as a Front End Manager. As a Front End Manager, you will play a crucial role in creating an exceptional shopping experience for our customers. This is a hands-on role that requires strong leadership skills, excellent customer service, and a passion for delivering results. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a strong understanding of front end operations, we want to hear from you!

  1. Oversee and manage the daily operations of the front end department, including cashiering, customer service, and store cleanliness.
  2. Train, coach, and mentor front end team members to ensure excellent customer service and adherence to company policies and procedures.
  3. Maintain a positive and welcoming atmosphere for customers by greeting them with a friendly and helpful attitude.
  4. Monitor and maintain accurate cash handling procedures, including opening and closing registers, handling returns and exchanges, and ensuring proper cash management.
  5. Collaborate with other store managers to ensure efficient and effective store operations, including inventory management, merchandising, and sales promotions.
  6. Monitor and analyze front end sales and customer traffic data to identify opportunities for improvement and implement strategies to increase sales and improve customer satisfaction.
  7. Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures, as well as federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
  8. Address and resolve any customer complaints or concerns in a timely and professional manner, escalating issues to upper management when necessary.
  9. Schedule and supervise front end team members to ensure adequate coverage and excellent customer service at all times.
  10. Continuously seek out ways to improve front end operations and processes, and provide suggestions for implementing new systems or procedures.
  11. Maintain a clean and organized front end area, including registers, shelves, and displays.
  12. Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to front end team members, recognizing and rewarding exceptional performance.
  13. Ensure compliance with safety and security protocols to protect both employees and customers.
  14. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in customer service and front end operations, and implement relevant strategies to improve overall performance.
  15. Promote a positive and inclusive work environment that fosters teamwork, open communication, and a strong work ethic.

  • Strong Leadership Skills: A Successful Front End Manager Should Possess Strong Leadership Skills To Effectively Manage And Guide Their Team Of Cashiers And Sales Associates. This Includes The Ability To Delegate Tasks, Provide Direction, And Resolve Conflicts.

  • Excellent Customer Service Skills: Customer Satisfaction Is Crucial For Any Retail Store, And The Front End Manager Plays A Key Role In Ensuring A Positive Shopping Experience. They Should Have Excellent Customer Service Skills And Be Able To Handle Difficult Situations With Tact And Professionalism.

  • Experience In Cash Management: As The Head Of The Front End Operations, The Front End Manager Should Have Experience In Cash Management, Including Handling Large Volumes Of Cash, Processing Returns And Exchanges, And Managing Cashiers' Tills.

  • Knowledge Of Pos Systems: Five Below Uses A Point-Of-Sale (Pos) System To Process Transactions And Manage Inventory. A Qualified Front End Manager Should Be Familiar With Pos Systems And Have The Ability To Troubleshoot Any Technical Issues That May Arise.

  • Organizational And Multitasking Abilities: A Busy Retail Environment Requires A Front End Manager To Have Excellent Organizational And Multitasking Skills. They Should Be Able To Handle Multiple Tasks Simultaneously, Such As Managing The Front End Operations, Assisting Customers, And Overseeing The Restocking Of Merchandise.
