In this role, you will provide legal advice and counsel to support the organization’s intellectual property portfolio, including but not limited to patents, trademarks, copyright, and related matters.You should have a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school and be licensed to practice in at least one state. You must also have a minimum of 5-7 years of legal experience, preferably in private practice or in-house in the retail or consumer products industries.The ideal candidate will be a creative problem solver with a strong sense of ownership and accountability. You should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:

1. Provide legal advice and counsel on intellectual property matters, including patents, trademarks, copyright, and related issues.
2. Ensure compliance with applicable intellectual property laws.
3. Develop and implement processes to maximize the organization’s intellectual property portfolio.
4. Research and analyze relevant laws and regulations.
5. Prepare and review contracts and other legal documents.
6. Negotiate intellectual property agreements and licenses.
7. Provide strategic counsel on intellectual property issues.
8. Provide training and guidance to internal stakeholders on intellectual property matters.
9. Manage outside counsel and other legal service providers.
10. Monitor and update intellectual property portfolio.
