Asset Protection Specialist

Five Below is looking for an enthusiastic Asset Protection Specialist to join our team! In this role, you will be tasked with ensuring our store remains safe and secure for customers and employees alike. You will be responsible for minimizing losses and deterring theft through a variety of security and surveillance measures. To be successful in this role, you must possess excellent observation and problem-solving skills. You should have a keen eye for detail and be able to think quickly in order to assess and address potentially hazardous or suspicious situations. In addition to the required qualifications listed below, the ideal candidate will have a friendly and professional demeanor, as well as a genuine interest in helping our customers have a safe and enjoyable shopping experience.Required Qualifications:• High school diploma or GED• At least 1 year of experience in a similar role• Ability to use a two-way radio and other security equipment• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

4. Ensure that the store remains secure, including the proper locking of doors and windows and the monitoring of alarm systems.
5. Take appropriate action to address any safety concerns.
6. Report any suspicious activity to store management.
7. Maintain a friendly and professional demeanor with customers and employees.
8. Assist customers and staff in resolving any security-related issues.
9. Perform regular store walks to ensure compliance with safety and security guidelines.
10. Maintain accurate records of all security-related incidents.
