Are you an experienced Bank Attorney with a passion for lending? First Midwest Bank is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Bank Attorney to join our legal team and provide legal advice and guidance on all matters related to lending.This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing organization and demonstrate your expertise in banking and finance. We are looking for someone with a proven ability to interpret and apply legal principles to complex financial transactions. The ideal candidate will have a Juris Doctor degree and at least five years of experience practicing law in a bank or financial institution. Additionally, a strong understanding of banking regulations and laws, as well as the ability to research and analyze complex legal issues, is essential.If you have the qualifications and enthusiasm necessary to excel in this role, we would love to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide legal advice and guidance on all matters related to lending.
  2. Interpret and apply legal principles to complex financial transactions.
  3. Research and analyze complex legal issues.
  4. Stay up-to-date on banking regulations and laws.
  5. Draft and review loan documents, loan agreements, and other legal documents related to lending.
  6. Advise on the legal implications of various business decisions.
  7. Handle any disputes that may arise.
  8. Represent the bank in court, if necessary.
  9. Collaborate with other legal professionals.
  10. Monitor and advise on any changes in the relevant laws and regulations.
