  1. Design, implement, and maintain storage solutions for First Data-Fiserv's global financial services technology infrastructure.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and provide storage solutions that meet those requirements.
  3. Monitor and troubleshoot storage systems to ensure high availability and performance.
  4. Develop and maintain storage policies, procedures, and standards in alignment with industry best practices.
  5. Proactively identify and resolve storage-related issues, including capacity planning and data protection.
  6. Stay updated on emerging storage technologies and make recommendations for their integration into our infrastructure.
  7. Perform regular performance tuning and optimization of storage systems.
  8. Create and maintain documentation of storage infrastructure, processes, and procedures.
  9. Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing to ensure business continuity.
  10. Mentor and train junior team members on storage engineering best practices.
  11. Collaborate with vendors for procurement and maintenance of storage equipment and software.
  12. Adhere to security protocols and policies to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of data stored.
  13. Continuously evaluate and improve storage processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  14. Participate in on-call rotation to provide support and troubleshooting for storage-related emergencies.
  15. Communicate project updates, issues, and risks to stakeholders in a timely manner.
