  1. Design and maintain the company's MongoDB databases to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  2. Troubleshoot and resolve any database-related issues or errors in a timely manner.
  3. Monitor database performance and make necessary adjustments to improve performance and stability.
  4. Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies for all MongoDB databases.
  5. Work closely with developers to optimize database structures and queries for maximum efficiency.
  6. Create and maintain documentation for all database processes and procedures.
  7. Continuously evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools to improve database management.
  8. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data integrity and security.
  9. Conduct regular audits of databases to identify and address any potential issues.
  10. Train and mentor junior database administrators on database management best practices.
  11. Communicate effectively with team members and management to provide updates on database status and any potential issues.
  12. Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in database technology to ensure First Data remains at the forefront of payment technology.
  13. Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and company policies.
  14. Take ownership of projects and tasks, and be accountable for their timely completion.
  15. Participate in on-call rotation and provide support for any urgent database issues outside of regular business hours.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Experience With Mongodb: The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 5 Years Of Hands-On Experience Working With Mongodb. They Should Possess A Deep Understanding Of The Database's Architecture, Data Modeling, And Performance Tuning.

  • Strong Sql Skills: Along With Mongodb, The Sr. Mongo Dba/Database Administrator Should Also Have A Strong Understanding Of Sql And Relational Databases. They Should Be Able To Write Complex Sql Queries And Have Experience With Database Administration Tasks Such As Backup And Recovery.

  • Knowledge Of Database Security Best Practices: Since First Data Is A Financial Services Company, The Sr. Mongo Dba/Database Administrator Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Database Security Best Practices. They Should Be Able To Implement And Manage Security Measures To Protect Sensitive Data.

  • Experience With Database Maintenance And Troubleshooting: The Ideal Candidate Should Have Experience With Database Maintenance Tasks Such As Database Backups, Index Maintenance, And Query Optimization. They Should Also Be Able To Troubleshoot And Resolve Database Issues Quickly And Efficiently.

  • Excellent Communication And Collaboration Skills: The Role Of A Sr. Mongo Dba/Database Administrator At First Data Will Involve Working With Cross-Functional Teams, Including Developers, Data Analysts, And Business Stakeholders.
