  1. Develop and maintain high-quality COBOL code to support critical software systems.
  2. Collaborate with a team of software engineers to design, implement, and test new features and functionality.
  3. Troubleshoot and debug code to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  4. Keep up-to-date with industry best practices and technologies related to COBOL development.
  5. Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure code quality and consistency.
  6. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers and quality assurance, to deliver high-quality software solutions.
  7. Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to ensure project milestones are met on time.
  8. Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and implement solutions to increase efficiency and quality.
  9. Mentor and support junior team members, sharing knowledge and best practices.
  10. Continuously learn and improve skills and stay updated on new COBOL features and techniques.
  11. Adhere to company coding standards and security policies.

Job Qualifications

  • Strong Proficiency In Cobol Programming Language, With A Minimum Of 5 Years Of Hands-On Experience.

  • In-Depth Understanding Of Mainframe Systems And Technologies, Including Jcl, Cics, And Vsam.

  • Extensive Knowledge Of Database Design And Sql, With The Ability To Write Complex Queries And Stored Procedures.

  • Experience With Software Development Methodologies And Tools, Such As Agile, Devops, And Version Control Systems.

  • Excellent Problem-Solving And Analytical Skills, With The Ability To Troubleshoot And Debug Complex Code And Systems.
