  2. Utilize expert knowledge of DB2 technology to ensure smooth operation of databases.
  3. Play a key role in the continuous improvement and innovation of database systems.
  4. Monitor and analyze database performance and make recommendations for enhancements.
  5. Develop and implement database security and backup procedures.
  6. Troubleshoot and resolve database issues in a timely manner.
  7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure database solutions meet business needs.
  8. Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in DB2 technology.
  9. Train and mentor junior database administrators.

Job Qualifications

  • Extensive Experience In Db2 Database Administration: A Senior Db2 Database Administrator At First Data-Fiserv Should Have A Minimum Of 7-10 Years Of Experience In Db2 Database Administration, Including Experience With Db2 Installation, Configuration, Backup And Recovery, Performance Tuning, And Troubleshooting.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Database Architecture And Design: The Ideal Candidate Should Possess A Deep Understanding Of Database Architecture And Design Principles, Including Data Modeling, Normalization, And Indexing. This Knowledge Will Be Crucial In Optimizing The Performance And Scalability Of The Company's Database Systems.

  • Expertise In Db2 High Availability And Disaster Recovery: The Senior Db2 Database Administrator Should Have Prior Experience In Setting Up And Maintaining High Availability And Disaster Recovery Solutions For Db2 Databases. This Includes Configuring Database Replication, Implementing Failover And Failback Procedures, And Performing Regular Disaster Recovery Testing.

  • Proficiency In Scripting And Automation: The Role Of A Senior Db2 Database Administrator At First Data-Fiserv Will Involve Managing A Large Number Of Databases. Therefore, The Ideal Candidate Should Be Proficient In Scripting And Automation Tools, Such As Shell Scripting, Perl, Or Python, To Automate Routine Database Tasks And Improve Efficiency.

  • Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills: As A Senior Db2 Database Administrator, The Candidate Will Be Responsible For Troubleshooting Complex Database Issues And Providing Timely Resolutions.
